Dentistry

Of all of the treatments we do at the clinic, dental work is by far the most rewarding. Often dogs and cats hide dental pain from the owners; once it is resolved the pet acts and feels much better. Pet oral health is an important aspect of prevention care.

Services & Dental Radiology

In order to properly access and clean the teeth, we have to do general anesthesia. Your pet will have an IV catheter, intubation and full anesthesia monitoring.

We will perform full dental radiographs in order to assess each tooth for bone loss or infection. We have dental radiology equipment to use during our dental cleanings. This technology allows us to verify whether a tooth may be ill and require extraction. Furthermore, dental radiographs give us the opportunity to visualize each tooth’s root. This helps in situations where the tooth appears healthy on the outside but may actually have an ill root under the gum line.

The teeth will be cleaned with an ultrasonic instrument and polished.  If there are loose or diseased teeth we will extract them during the procedure.

Home Dental Care

Dental problems are better prevented than treated! Starting a dental hygiene regiment with your pet can prevent serious issues down the line. From the food they eat, the toys they chew on, and the extra steps you take with their teeth, your pet's dental health can be improved in many ways.
